Project PEACE
Preparing Effective behavior Analysts with Challenging behavior Expertise
The goal of Project PEACE is to increase the number of high-quality related service personnel — specifically, board-certified behavior analysts (BCBAs), serving students with high-intensity needs (e.g., intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder). We are currently recruiting students for our 2024-2025 school year.
Program Highlights:
- 15-month, 36 credit hour Master’s in ABA
- Prepare scholars to provide high-quality, evidence-based practices to children with high-intensity needs, including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Eligible for credentialing as a BCBA and licensure to practice ABA in Texas and several other states
- Multiple fieldwork experiences in school and clinical settings
- Research opportunities with Educational Psychology faculty
- Acquire knowledge and skills necessary to work collaboratively in schools
- Acquire knowledge and skills necessary to teach and deliver evidence-based practices in multiple settings, including distance learning environments
- Prepare scholars to deliver evidence-based practices in a way that is culturally and linguistically responsive
- 6 opportunities to attend seminars presented by experts in the field
Accepted Students will Receive:
- Scholarship covering 100% cost of the program
- $1,600 monthly stipend to support living expenses
- Campus visit stipend
- Graduate School Application Fee Waiver
- Laptop computer and related hardware
- Textbooks provided for each student at no cost
- PEACE scholars will be assigned faculty advisors and a fieldwork supervisor
- Funding to attend/present at Texas Association for Behavior Analysis annual conference
Requirements:
- No GRE requirement
- Personal statement of interest in serving children with high-intensity needs
- 2 letters of support from professors or professionals in similar field
- Minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0
