Behavior Analysis Research (BeAR) Lab
The Baylor BeAR research team is dedicated to conducting high-quality, impactful behavior analytic research. The research team is comprised of faculty, post-doctoral research associates, graduate students, and undergraduate students. Research priorities include the assessment and treatment challenging behavior for individuals with developmental disabilities, supporting siblings and educators, and best practices for training pre-service behavior analysts.
Teachers play a vital role in the lives of children with developmental disabilities. These educators should be supported in their efforts to promote learning and success for students. The Baylor BeAR research team is investigating how to best support educators to use evidence-based strategies and effectively teach students with developmental disabilities.
Siblings have a special relationship that lasts across the lifespan. Siblings of individuals with developmental disabilities have unique experiences that should be acknowledged and celebrated. The Baylor BeAR research team is working on innovative strategies to promote positive collaboration with special siblings.
